Uploading new 'File(s)'

To 'Upload'  one or more new 'File(s)' (that later can be used by your automated tests to perform 'Browser Uploads' into your AUT), follow the steps below.

1. Click the 'Upload Files' button.

2. When the dialog box opens up, next to the field 'Upload', click 'Browse' to search for the File you want to upload from your network or local computer.

Supported File Formats that you can upload:
  • Images (GIF, JPG, JPEG, PNG, BMP, TIFF)
  • Documents (DOC, PDF, DOCX, TXT, XML)
  • Spreadsheets (CSV, XLSX, and XLS)
  • Other formats (HTML, HTM, XML, JSON, YAML)
  • Audio formats (mp3, wma)
  • Video formats (mp4, wmv)
  • Archive formats(Zip)
If you upload any file that is not one of the supported file/media formats, then you will see a message "The file attempted for upload has an unsupported file format or extension."

The maximum file size you can upload is 25 MB.

3. Repeat the Browse and Select File process for the other files you want to upload.

You should see each file that you have uploaded shown in a grid listing on the screen.

4. For each file you uploaded, you can optionally key in description to indicate the purpose you want to use the file for, and assign one or more 'Label(s)', and then 'save' the metadata you associated with each file by clicking on the floppy disk (Save) icon in the first column of each row.

If you change your mind and want to delete one of the files you uploaded, or you realize that you have uploaded a wrong file, you can click on the red X mark to delete the file.

If you decide to cancel out of the screen, you can click the 'Cancel' button.

5. Once you have uploaded all the file(s) you want to upload, click the 'Save All' button.

You should see the File(s) you uploaded/saved listed in the 'Files' module home screen.

NOTE: All the files uploaded to Worksoft SaaS are in Active state by default.
