Testing Contexts - An Overview

Overview

A Testing Context in Worksoft SaaS is a combination of capabilities configured to execute your Test Runs. Testing Context with respect to your application can mean the Testing Platforms on which your application is certified to work on. However, a Testing Context is just more than the Testing Platforms as it is the combination of Cloud Platform, Device, Operating System(Version), Browser(Version), Log Capture Options, Location Settings and many more. In Worksoft SaaS, all these options are classified into Basic & Advanced Options.

Creating Testing Contexts:

You can create as many Testing Contexts as you need to fully certify your application for the Test Scenario (or Run Definition) that you created.

When you go to the 'Specify Testing Context(s)' screen for the first time for a Scenario (or Run Definition), obviously, you will see a default testing context available for the local executions. You can start creating Testing Context(s) for the cloud executions by clicking the 'Create Manually' button.

When you click 'Create Manually', Worksoft SaaS opens a pop-up template screen where you can enter your preferences for the Testing Context you want to create.
