Feature-rich Script Listing Grid
Single-page listing of scripts within your project-level 'Script Library' or 'My Favorites'
The list of scripts within your Script Library or My Favorites (or even your search results) are shown in a single page.
The first column 'Actions' shows graphical icons which when clicked allow you to perform actions on the test scripts shown in the grid. Continue to read the section 'Quick Actions vs. Full List of Actions' below within this article.
The second column captioned 'Test Script' includes various critical pieces of information about the test script:
- The 'name' of the test script is the most important.
- The 'status' of the test script [Work-In-Progress (WIP, for short) or Active or Inactive] is shown in the bottom left corner of each cell under this column.
- The count of test instructions within each script is shown at the center bottom of each cell.
- The graphical icons on the bottom right hand side indicate which types of bindings exist for a test script. For more information about the types of bindings, read the section 'Bindings for a Test Script' inline within this article.
- The description, if any, added to the test script, the product the script is attached to, the creation and last modified details are available for you to see on click of the blue (corner) badge in the cell that shows the script name.
The third column captioned '# Scenarios' includes the count of Test Scenarios that include the Test Script listed in each row. Similarly the fourth column captioned '# Run Definitions' includes the count of Run Definitions that include the Test Script listed in each row. The blue badges on the top right hand side corner in the cells of these two columns, when clicked, give you rapid visibility into the names/statuses of the related entities. Quick Actions vs. Full List of Actions
Marking/unmarking a test script as a 'Favorite' is the most common action someone would perform on a test script. Hence the icon that helps to toggle test script from being a Favorite to No Favorite is made available readily on the Actions field. To access rest of the functions, click on the three dots to bring up the other options such as Deleting, Downloading and Cloning/Copying a test script.
Rapid Viability into the list of Scenarios and Run Definitions a Script is part of
The blue corner badge on the top right hand side corner of the '# Scenarios' and '# Run Definitions' columns, when clicked. will you provide you quick visibility into the list of test scenarios and the run definitions a script is part of. If you want to drill down to the Scenarios or the Run Definitions, just click on the counts within the '# Scenarios' and the '# Run Definitions' columns of the listing grid.
