Release Notes - 17 Sep 2018

New Features available for you to benefit from:

Included in this release are the following features:

  • 'GoTo' and 'GoToIf' commands now allow you to go "Forward" to specific test instructions within a different Test Script (even across Scenarios)
  • As you are aware, so far, the 'GoTo' command allowed you to jump to a specific label within the same test script. Similarly, the 'GoToIf' command allowed you to jump to a specific test instruction within the same test script if a specific condition evaluates to true.

In this release, we have enhanced both commands to allow one test script to have a test instruction with the 'GoTo' or 'GoToIf' command and another test script (within the same or a different test scenario) to have the test instruction that has the 'label' that the GoTo or GoToIf refers to.

This major enhancement gives you powerful new capabilities that allow you to develop test scripts that you conditionally jump to in case of normal business processing or an exception/error conditions.

Please note that the syntax of the commands 'GoTo' and 'GoToIf' has not changed as part of this release. If you have not used these commands and would like to use them, please click here.

  • Test Scripts: Date and Time information for 'Lock' Test Scripts
  • In this release, the Test Scripts' home screen is enhanced to show details about who locked test script from edit by others and when the lock was set as mouse over (on-hover) text on the lock (green or red) icon that shows up to the right of the test script's status within each row of the grid. Please remember, a red head-shot icon indicates that someone else on your team had locked the script from edit by others and a 'green' head-shot icon indicates that you locked a test script from edit by others.

  • Test Scripts: Drill down to User-Defined Variable Screen from UDV binding icon
  • In this release, the Test Scripts' home screen is enhanced to allow you to click on the 'User-Defined Variable' Binding icon within each row and jump to User-Defined Variables screen.

Earlier this feature was only available for (Data-Driven) 'Attribute' Bindings and 'File' Bindings within each test script row of the test scripts grid.
