Release Notes - 18 Feb 2019

New Features available for you to benefit from:

Included in this release are the following features:

  • Productivity Improvement: Ability to personalize your Project Settings and if you are a project lead optionally those of other users within your project

This release will facilitate you to personalize your project settings and help you gain productivity into two different ways.

    1. Define which project (and the module within that project) you want to be automatically taken to the context of upon logging in
    2. Personalize settings related to the Test Scripts' home screen and the create/edit/view Test Scripts screen

If you want to propagate the value of any setting from one project (that you are in the context of) to other projects that you personally have access to, you can do that as well, assuming that the project leads for those other projects have given you permission to personalize the values for the setting. Click the link at the bottom of this article to learn how to propagate/share your settings & preferences from one project context to other projects.

If you are a project lead for a specific project, you will also be able to propagate/share your own settings with other users that have access to that project and allow or disallow them to deviate from the settings you shared with them. If you are a project lead, this empowers you to establish best practices within a project and to improve productivity of peer users that have access to this project. If you are not a project lead for a specific project, you will be only able to personalize your own settings (assuming your project lead allows you to do so). Click the link at the bottom of this article to learn how to propagate/share your settings & preferences to other users within the same project.

At a high level, settings are specific to each user. In other words, they are personalized based on each user's own preferences. The exception to this rule is when a project lead for the project defines the values for some settings (at the project level using his/her own settings), propagates the settings to all users that have access to that project and locks those settings from being edited (or personalized further) by the other users.

To access the Settings & Preferences screen, just click on the blue gear wheel icon on the top right hand side next to your name and then choose the second option 'My Project Settings' in the pull-down.
