Release Notes - 01 April 2019

New Features available for you to benefit from:

Included in this release are the following features:

  • Productivity Improvement: Provision to perform recording on the specifically selected tab (or) AUT
  • From this release, you have provision to record the test scripts w.r.t the specific AUT you are working on. When you start recording on the selected AUT and navigate back and forth to any other tabs and perform any actions, your actions will not be recorded in the test script. Earlier, all the actions performed on the other tabs were also recorded which again creates re-work to delete those recorded instructions.

You can reap the following benefits from enabling recording to the specific tab or AUT:

    • Recording the tabs within the AUT

    • Recording the windows which are opening within the AUT

If you need any help in doing so, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Worksoft SaaS helpdesk or extended product support.

  • Enhancement of scrollToView command implementation: Allowing to perform the maximum number of scrolls specified until the element is visible in the viewport
  • When the application that you are automating against has lazy loading, to get the screenshot that is taken as part of the automated test to include the element that the test is interacting with, it would fail to bring the element into the viewport using 'scrollToView' command. With this release, you can specify the maximum number of scrolls, where it tries to find the element on each scroll until the maximum number of scrolls get completed or command timeout occurs. If you wish to perform the scroll in any of the inner grids, you have to first click on the respective grid to shift the focus and then you can make use of the command.

  • Minor Improvement: To view the 'Scheduling Source' for a Test Run in the Test Runs Home
  • As you are aware that you can schedule the test runs via Worksoft SaaS and QaCONNECT REST API but there is no provision to see the scheduling source. From this release, you can see the 'Scheduling Source' also in the Test Runs Home.
