Release Notes - 20 April 2019

New Features available for you to benefit from:

Included in this release are the following features:

  • Productivity Improvement: Provision to access the Data Filters within the Bind Data screen of the Test Scenarios or Run Definitions.

This enhancement allows you to apply/change the data filters within the data binding tab of a test scenario/run definition instead of navigating to the 'Data Filters' screen. This way you can save a lot of time and apply the data filters within the same screen.

  • Productivity Improvement: Support for the generation of test cycle clipboard reports based on the Run Definition and provision to generate reports in multiple sheets in a single workbook

From this release, you can enjoy the benefit of generating the test cycle clipboard reports based on the 'Run Definition' apart from 'Test Cycle' and 'Data Definition'.

Apart from this, you can also generate the consolidated reports in multiple sheets within a single workbook by adding the additional parameters in the QaCONNECT REST Service.

  • Changes to 'ddCreateAnalyticsReportFromTestCycleClipboards' and 'ddCreateDataFileFromTestCycleClipboards' commands

Using the command 'ddCreateAnalyticsReportFromTestCycleClipboards', you can generate the consolidated reports and access them in the Analytics module. If you wish to create the reports based on the specific data definitions, you have to mention those in the JSON object in the 'Value' field. To know more about this command and how to use this command providing the input in the JSON Object, please click here.

The only change to the 'ddCreateDataFileFromTestCycleClipboards' command is to provide the input field as a JSON object in the Value field if you wish to generate the consolidated reports with the specific data definitions. Otherwise, the 'Value' field can be left empty. To know more about this command and how to use this command providing the input in the JSON Object, please click here
