In Worksoft SaaS, we have a privilege to set the Data Filter value using User-Defined Variables. For this, we need to create the Data Filter mapping to the User-Defined Variable by selecting the Environment checkbox and choosing the respective variable.
This helps us to reduce the editing of existing filter multiple times and also the creation of multiple filters.
Example: We might have different data with respect to the environments. If we want to execute the run on different environments using the same Data File, we can change the User-Defined Variable value to certify the required data.
Steps to map the Data Filter to User-Defined Variable:
- Select the required Attribute and operator then check the Variable checkbox.
- Choose the user-defined variables from the list.
- Select the checkbox "Load User-Defined Variables Values for Environment" and choose the Environment.
- Click on the upward arrow to load the user-defined variable value with respect to the Environment and then select the Data File on which filter criteria has to be applied and click on Show Filtered Data.
User-Defined Variable screen for reference from where the value is being updated.
- View the filtered data.
