Edit Slack Integration

When you integrate slack into your project, you will be able to see the associated projects on the "Integration of Slack for Project(s)" screen. You are given provision to various actions that can be performed on this screen.

                                                                                 

Edit Slack Integration: 

When you click on the below icon, you can edit the Slack Integration. This edit option gives you multiple elements that can be modified. 

                                                                                            
After clicking on the edit icon, you will be navigated to "Configure Integration of Slack for a Project" screen, where, you can edit the Workspace and Channel(s) and Message Event(s). Here, each Channel is a unique one. For one slack integration, there are, 'n' number of possibilities having multiple Channels.

Please note that if you haven't created the channels before the Slack Configuration. You can also create the channels after the configuration with Worksoft SaaS. The new channels will be reflected accordingly in the channel dropdown in the Worksoft SaaS application.


Note: As this is the edit of a Slack Integration, you will not have an option to modify the Project. 

Channel(s) and Message Event(s):

                                                                         
When "allow pulls from any" checkbox is checked, then you can request for Worksoft SaaS notifications from any of the Channels listed under the "Channel(s) and Message Event(s)" section. 

You will be able to see the default Channels indicated with an asterisk mark, where you are not given a provision to delete it. Please note that if you haven't created the channels before the Slack Configuration. You can also create the channels after the configuration with Worksoft SaaS. The new channels will be reflected accordingly in the channel dropdown in the Worksoft SaaS application.




Only the last Channel of the list is given a provision to add a new Channel and for all the remaining Channels, this add icon is disabled. 


Note: You can also edit the default Channels. 
 
You can filter the messages using the patterns like '%' and '_' for the Test Cycle and Test Run Notifications.



For example, if you have your test cycle identifier as 'Batch Runs', you can filter using the regEx as 'Batch%' or 'Batch_' wherein the test cycle or test run starting with batch will be posted to the respective slack channel(s).
