Worksoft SaaS Jira Integration :: Setup

Let's get started with the Jira Integration process..!!

Worksoft SaaS users with 'Admin' rights can proceed with the integration process. The non-Admin users can reach out to your Administrator for setting up the Jira

After logging into Worksoft SaaS, you can integrate Jira by providing Jira Usage Context Name by following the below setps:

Step 1: Login to Worksoft SaaS Saas as an Admin

Step 2: From hamburger menu, click on Atlassian  Jira
Step 3: To  the top right corner of the screen,  click on Create button which takes you to the 'Integration of Atlassian Jira' page.

Step 4: Provide a name for the configuration in the 'Jira Usage Context' to identify it while performing one of the actions: create an issue, link an issue & search for an issue.

It is a name that you can enter into this field which helps you to identify the Jira account. The name should be unique and it comes in handy when you integrate your Worksoft SaaS domain to more than one Jira account.

Step 5: Choosing Integration Type. Worksoft SaaS provides two options to configure Jira within the SaaS application. The recommended/preferred way is to use the "Worksoft SaaS Jira Integration app" that allows for you not to mention username, password or API Token. Once you decide which approach you want to use, follow specific steps mentioned below as per the option is chosen.

Option A) Using Worksoft SaaS Jira Integration App for authentication (recommended)
On selecting this option and clicking on the 'Install' button, Worksoft SaaS would redirect you to the atlassian.com website where you need to select the URL from the dropdown which you want to integrate with Worksoft SaaS (in case of multiple Jira accounts) and then click on 'Accept' button as shown below.

After the successful integration with Jira, you would be redirected to the 'Integration of Atlassian Jira' page in the Worksoft SaaS application where you would be able to see the integration details.

Option B) Using Jira API Token based authentication
To integrate using this option, you need to enter the Atlassian Host, Jira Login Email, Jira API Token. You can check if the provided details work by clicking on the "Test Connectivity" button. And only on a successful attempt, the "Save" button would be enabled.

Once you are redirected to the 'Integration of Atlassian Jira' home screen, you can view all the available Jira Usage Contexts, respective Host URL's and Integration Status along with the Integration type and the User Name and the DateTime of the Integration. as shown below:
