My Project Settings for Run Definitions Module

Before this you might want to read:

Overview

The settings & preferences on the 'Run Definition' tab of the 'My Project-level Settings & Preferences' screen allow you to configure the default settings for the display of the Manual/Dynamic User Defined Variables in the UDV Dropdown in the Data Binding tab of the Scenario/Run Definition screen.

Run Definitions Module Preferences & Settings

The settings & preferences are grouped into the following section(s):

  • User-Defined Variables
User-Defined Variables:

The single setting that is currently available within this section allows you to configure whether or not you to disable/enable the provision of viewing the manually created User Defined Variables in the Data Binding screen of Run Definitions/Scenarios.

The 'Project Lead' can only perform the enabling/disabling of this setting. This setting is not allowed to share it with your other Project(s) or User(s). You need to switch to the respective project and make the necessary default settings accordingly.

Once you make the changes you want to these settings, you must click 'Save'. Please note that if you have not made any changes to the settings, the 'Save' and 'Cancel' buttons will be disabled. Those buttons will be enabled only when there are changes waiting to be saved.

You need permission to edit the settings values

It is important for you to remember that you will be able to edit a setting in the context of a project ONLY if the project lead of that project has given you permission to personalize the value for the setting.

Propagating value of any setting from this project to other projects

If you want to propagate the value of any setting from this project to other projects that you personally have access to, you can do that as well, assuming that the project leads for those other projects have given you permission to personalize the values for the setting.

Propagating your value of any setting to other users of the same project

If you are a project lead for the project, then you will be able to share the value you set for any setting to other users that have access to that project.
