 Introduction of Worksoft SaaS Feature/Concept :: Lesson 9 :: Topic 2

1. Using UDV Filter Value Override in the Runner/Scheduler
If we want to override the UDV Data Filters at the Run time, the Test Runner/Scheduler has an option to override UDV Data Filters as well, this helps us to easily specify the new filter values at the Run time and can execute tests simultaneously or sequentially or selectively.

A Business use-case for this is let's say, in an eCommerce application, you are using the UDV as a part of a Data filter, to filter Site Codes like US, Canada, UK, etc from your Data File. By using the Test Runner/Scheduler, you can also dynamically pass the values at the run time, thereby utilizing one or more UDV's to define a Dynamic filter.

The structure of the data inputs is similar to UDV Overrides (name-value pairs) which is in JSON format.

In case any changes are made to the Data File or Data Filter in the Bind Summary screen, it is important to remember that you update the value.
