Introduction of Worksoft SaaS Feature/Concept :: Lesson 10 :: Topic 2
1. Creating a Test Script
One of the steps in building automation is creating the Test Script(s) itself. A Test Script contains Instructions that perform specific actions on the Application.
While creating a Test Script in Worksoft SaaS, we always map it under a Product. However, when this Test Script is assembled in a Scenario/Run Definition, it is possible to use Test Scripts from different Products.
Example: You can create Test case ID, Requirements, Release and Sprint as different labels and map the entities to respective Labels.
In Worksoft SaaS, labels can be created for all entities. This makes it easy to sort/Filter the corresponding entities (Tests scripts/ Scenarios / Run Definitions /Files/ Data Definition/Data Files) as per the assigned label. Worksoft SaaS by default creates 33 different types of labels when a project is created. Apart from that, you may also create additional labels.
The 51 labels are under different categories of parent labels that are as following
Worksoft SaaS Analytics also links to the labels that are mapped to Run Definition or a Scenario. The Reports generated help in business workflow enhancements.
Labels are also assigned upon completion of Test Run, which helps in report generation. If you have any failure in your Test Run then you may tag to the system created labels.
2. Labels
“Labels” are one of the most powerful features of Worksoft SaaS. We can categorize the automation entities like Test Script, Scenario, Run Definition, etc which provides us good analytics in various reports.
Example: You can create Test case ID, Requirements, Release and Sprint as different labels and map the entities to respective Labels.

- Functional Requirements
- Application Modules
- Performance Report Mapping
- Root Cause for Failure
- Severity of Test Case Execution Failure
- Test Automation State
- Test Case Execution Priority
- Test Case Type
- Test Coverage Category
- Testing Purpose
