1. Magic Wand for self-healing tests
In our test script, we performed a locator validity check and observed that there are a couple of invalid locators and few valid ones. The valid ones are identified by the icon 'Magic Wand'. We will use the Magic wand to update the invalid locators for this instruction and also other instructions within this Test Script

2. Practice
To update the invalid locators please perform the following steps
  1. Click on 'Execute (play) this test script stand-alone' icon and let the execution complete. You can verify to see if the click is performed and also ensure that the application still shows the Input screen
  2. Switch to the 'Design & Build' tab
  3. Expand the first instruction and click on the 'Verify Validity of all locators' icon (the last icon for the Target field)
  4. Click on the 'magic wand' icon of the second locator i.e. locator type 'name'
  5. You will see that QaSCRIBE has updated all invalid locators, instantaneously
  6. Click on 'Save' button to accept the locators
  7. You will see a popover. Select 'Save' and continue
  8. Click on 'Save and Continue' button
