Introduction of Worksoft SaaS Feature/Concept :: Lesson 14 :: Topic 5

1. Comment out an instruction
In case you want to execute selected multiple instructions (2 or more), then this is a simple yet very useful feature which disables the selected instruction/s by converting it into a comment within a Test Script.

When debugging a failure, you can comment out certain instructions to stop from execution so that you can focus on executing the instructions highlighting the failure.

Another use of this feature is during Script maintenance. While building automation, we record instructions as per that version of the AUT. When the AUT goes through changes, some instructions recorded earlier may not be required. In that case, we can comment out the instruction, instead of deleting it, to keep track of the changes made to the Test Script Automation.
