Release Notes - 25 May 2020

New Features available for you to benefit from:

Included in this release are the following features:

  • Opening of the Test Script(s) in new tab from the Execution Details tab

Earlier in the execution details tab, you have a provision to redirect to the specific Test Script within the Run Definition or Scenario and make the changes like adding/editing/deleting the instructions and so on.

From now on, you can view the Test Script in the new tab by just clicking on the two sides arrow-headed icon which opens the test script in a new tab allowing you to make the necessary changes accordingly. This icon is similar to the icon which is shown in the Test Runs Home screen that allows you to view the test run results in a new tab.

  • A new setting in the Analytics tab in the "My Project Settings" module (View limited to Project Lead only)

Till the previous releases, there is no interdependency on the auto-assignment of the issues and the auto-assignment of the labels to the failed test runs.

From this release, enabling this new setting allows the Worksoft AI/ML to auto-assign the issue(s) to the failed test run(s) only when the test run that is used as a basis for auto-assignment of Root Cause for Failure has an Issue linked from the Issue Store.

  • Provision to delete an individual report in the Test Cycle Clipboard Consolidation Reports in the Analytics module

Earlier, there was no provision for you to delete the Test Cycle Clipboard Consolidation Reports individually which forces you to delete all the reports and regenerate with the required changes.

  • Productivity Improvement: Additional attributes in the Consolidated Triage Report

Below are the new attributes that are added in the Consolidated Triage Report.

    • Worksoft AI/ML Match Accuracy (%) for Issue Linkage to the Run: This parameter is included in both the "Test_Cycle_Net_New_Issues" and "Test_Cycle_Level_Unique_Issues" sheets which details about the match accuracy of the issues linked to the test runs based on the Worksoft AI/ML.
    • Worksoft AI/ML Match Accuracy (%) for Root Cause of Failure assignment to the Run: This parameter is included in both the "Test_Cycle_Net_New_Issues" and "Test_Cycle_Level_Unique_Issues" sheets which details about the match accuracy of the Root Cause for Failure labels linked to the test runs based on the Worksoft AI/ML.
    • Worksoft AI/ML Match Accuracy (%) for RCF assignment: This parameter is included in the "TC_Level_Failed_Runs_Gap_Issues" sheet which details the match accuracy of the issues liked to the failed test runs.

  • Provision to distinguish the issues assigned by Worksoft AI/ML for the filtered issues

As you all know, the auto-assignment of issues to the failed tests are happening using the learnings made by the Worksoft AI/ML feature. On performing the search for the issues using the 'Issue Store' option from the "More" dropdown, you can see all the issues which are manually assigned by you and by Worksoft AI/ML.

To differentiate the issues which are assigned manually and by Worksoft AI/ML, the icon is shown which displays the information like assigned date & time, etc.

  • Minor Improvement: Recording of "Role" and "Aria-Label" locator types in the Test Scripts

While recording the test scripts using QaSCRIBE, by default, few locator types are recorded for any element such as 'id', 'name', 'XPath', etc. But, in sporadic cases for a few applications, you cannot find the locator types such as 'id' or 'name'. In such situations, the new locator types 'Role' and 'Aria-Label' will get recorded.
