Introduction of Worksoft SaaS Feature/Concept :: Lesson 16 :: Topic 4

1. Test Cycle Home Screen

    Test Cycles created either manually or by using QaCONNECT REST API, are displayed in the Test Cycles tab by clicking 'More'.
    You can also navigate to the Test Cycle page from the Test Runs page by hovering the mouse on the Test Cycle icon and clicking on the hyperlink of the Test Cycle Identifier name.
    Worksoft SaaS provides you the option to create multiple Test Cycles based on your requirement and all the Test Cycles are listed on the Test Cycles Landing page.

Each Test Cycle has Action buttons and the following actions can be performed:
  1. Edit : You can edit the Test Cycle and update Test Cycle identifier, Planned Start date and time and planned end time.
  2. Copy/Clone: This can be used to copy existing test cycle and create new one.
  3. View Activity History: This can be used to access information about who created Test cycle, when it was executed and planned start and end time.
  4. Close: This can be used to close the test cycle. Once closed Test Cycle will not execute runs linked to the Test Cycle.
  5. Reports viewing and generation: This can be used to generate Test Cycle Summary, Test Cycle Comparision and Test Cycle Clipboard report
  6. Request Execution Summary Status to Email: If you would like to manually send a specific Test Cycle Summary to your email address, like the no. of Test Runs passed, Failed, Pre-Processing failed etc, you can click 'By Email' button and a notification will be sent to the registered email address. This option can be used in case you dont configure automated email notifications through QaCONNECT or if your email address is not specified in the automated email notification configuration.

In addition to the actions column, you can also:

      2. Filter the Test Runs by status: From time to time, you will experience the need to view the automated tests that are included in a Test Cycle. Sometimes this need may arise when you are executing tests within a cycle (for you to check of the tests are proceeding well) and other times, a need may arise after all the automated tests within the cycle have completed execution (and you just want to view the outcomes of individual tests.). You can click on the number shown respective to each status which will filter the test runs on Home screen.
