Introduction of Worksoft SaaS Feature/Concept :: Lesson 16 :: Topic 5

1. Override Asset Log capture

    Test Cycles provide you the option to override the Asset Log captures for all Test Runs set up at a Run Definition level.

     In the initial certification, we may need the asset log captures to be switched on 'real-time' for screenshots, videos, network logs, etc to help with failures, however, once the test cases are certified and we want to run these tests on an ongoing basis by scheduling the Test Cycle, we may not need all the asset logs to be captured on a real-time basis. In this case, switching on 'On error' for asset log captures would be sufficient.

     On the other hand, turning screenshots on for every instruction will consume time from your Daily Capacity (minutes) and also the execution of the test run will be slower.

     If you have many Run Definitions, it is easier to use the override feature of the Asset Log Capture and have the changes made for that specific execution, instead of editing the Testing Context Key.

     Note: This will not change the actual Testing Context Key but only overrides for that particular execution.
