Introduction of Worksoft SaaS Feature/Concept :: Lesson 17 :: Topic 3

1. Analytics - Dashboard
Worksoft SaaS Analytics Dashboard is a subset of the Analytics Reports which lets you visualize the Test Cycle Level Test Outcomes Reports in pictorial representation at a glance.

It helps you gain valuable insight and drives in giving you a quick understanding of the results of the test runs executed on your application.

It gives you quick information about:
  • Total number of Test Runs tagged to a test cycle
  • Total number of Run Definitions within a project and test cycle
  • Cumulative Execution Time and Test Cycle Window Duration
  • Different Slots for the entities like Test Cycle, Environment, etc. which are configurable in the analytics configuration representing the test results. It contains multiple slots, the first 2 slots are shown with pie charts and the rest of the slots are shown in bar graphs. These slots can be customized according to your company needs. For example, you have a requirement of viewing the results based on ‘Testing Platform’, where you can configure the setting accordingly and directly view it in the dashboard instead of performing drill-down to the respective report. Thus, it gives you the provision to directly access the required reports on a high level.
Each slot in the expanded view has few options available:
  • Download report as SVG: You can download the respective image in the form of SVG format
  • Zoom in/out: The viewport area can be zoomed in and out to check the results in a detailed fashion
  • Pan: This allows you to adjust the viewport area
  • Autoscale: When you open any report in the expanded view, by default the data is shown according to the viewport area when you perform autoscale action, the full report can be viewed
  • Reset Axes: When you perform any of the actions like pan control or zoom in/out, the axes would not be the same position at zero, so this allows you to reset the axes to zero
  • You can also drill down to the below level reports and to test runs home with the filtered results by just right-clicking on the report which you are accessing in the expanded view.

Action controls available in the Dashboard: The action controls on the Analytics Dashboard include:
  • Navigation Control: A breadcrumb is available before the test cycle identifier which allows you to drill down to and fro between the analytics reports and dashboard
  • Toggle: On performing this action it will show you the counts of the test runs results in terms of percentage.
  • List View: When you click on this icon, you can see the chart in the expanded view.
  • Dashboard Configuration: This will allow you to set the configuration for the dashboard.

2. Managing the Slots by configuring the Dashboard set up in the 'Analytics Configuration
The slots in the analytics dashboard can be configured according to your business needs where you can set the respective reports which you are interested in.

You can configure the slots for the analytics dashboard in two ways:
  • By configuring from the Worksoft SaaS Analytics Configuration by editing a project where you can even configure the analytics reports hierarchy
  • By clicking the Dashboard configuration icon available in the Analytics Dashboard Home
You can select the respective row number and the slot number from both the drop-down shown for the reports which can be viewed in the Analytics Dashboard.

You can see the respective values being highlighted in red if the same combination is already available.

Once, the slots and row numbers are selected, you save and close the popup. Currently, the position for the 'Test Cycles Comparison' in the Analytics Dashboard has defaulted, so you can see the slot number and row number in the disabled state.
