- Enhanced security and best practices based approach for Worksoft SaaS Native authentication
You will continue to have access to the Worksoft SaaS native login like before. However, you will no longer be able to use username+password to login. You will have to user your email + a password that you generate new. You will not be able to use your old password to login.
All active users must have received an email notification from Worksoft SaaS with a subject line "Worksoft SaaS Notification: Request To Reset Your Password ASAP!". You must follow the instructions outlined in that email to set up a new password. If you have not received that email, please check your email spam folder and if its not there either, please reach out to Worksoft SaaS Support right away.
You no longer need to maintain security questions and answers as part of your profile that you can use to retrieve forgotten password. The new password reset process is very simple but highly secure. When you click on 'Forgot your password?' link below the Worksoft SaaS Native Login email and password fields, you will be prompted to enter your email address. When you do that and submit the form you will receive an email with a one-time code that will be active for one hour. When you enter that code, you will be allowed to choose a new password, and once you do that you will be able to get into your Worksoft SaaS domain. Its that easy!
- Support for Multi-Factor Authentication for Worksoft SaaS Native Authentication
With this enhancement, you will be able to configure and use multi-factor authentication (MFA).

- Support for a New User Type called 'Machine Users'
With this enhancement, you will be able to create user accounts that belong to a new user type called 'Machine Users' that can be used to integrate more securely and efficiently with your CI/CD tools.
To start benefitting from this powerful set of features, please read the following articles:
- Support for a new feature called "User Aliases" that can be created for both Person Users as well as Machine Users.
With this enhancement, users will be able to create up to 20 user aliases per user account.
Each person user that has one or more user aliases can then allocate (distribute) the capacity and concurrency that is allocated to themselves to the user aliases they own.
Administrators can create user aliases for machine users as well and then allocate (distribute) the capacity and concurrency that is allocated to that machine user to its user aliases.
In addition, the administrators can also grant permission for one or more person users to, as needed, make use of the user aliases owned by a machine user so that they can tap into a potentially higher capacity/concurrency that may have been allocated to the machine users and its user aliases.
To start benefitting from this powerful set of features, please read the following articles:
- User-level QaCONNECT Access Key
With this enhancement, users will be able to have their own secure and private QaCONNECT Access Key that they can use to make calls to the Worksoft SaaS QaCONNECT REST API. Until now, a single access key that was owned by the domain was used by all the users that needed to make calls to the QaCONNECT REST API. Both person users as well as machine users will have their own access key.

- Overhauled and Streamlined User Creation and Administration, My Profile and a New User's First-Time Login Experience
The user creation and administration process has been streamlined. Many features are rolled out as part of this release that will make administrators more productive and efficient in creating and administering users within a domain. Various powerful search, filtering and sorting options are now available for you to rapidly find users that match your criteria.
The all new 'My Profile' screen will allow a person user to see the information organized into logical sections and sub-sections. Now a user will be able to see more information about the role assigned to them, the projects that he/she has been authorized for, who the project lead for those projects are, view the capacity and concurrency allocated to him/her, etc,

Please note that at the top of the hamburger menu, horizontally you have the Home icon, My Profile icon, Settings icon and lastly the Logout icon.
- Widened of the screens within Worksoft SaaS when rendered within browsers
To maximize the use of the screen real estate available in current day's desktops and laptops, the Worksoft SaaS application is enhanced to use a wider space.
- Capacity and Concurrency Component is now available at the bottom of the screen
Without any loss of functionality the capacity and concurrency component is now moved to the bottom of the screen.
- The home screens for all test automation artifacts (except UDVs) are enhanced with numerous features that will make users more efficient and productive.
To start benefitting from this powerful set of features, please read the articles under the following topic:
- A new way of managing labels, viewing and assigning labels, and using labels as part of the search criteria.
The labels component has been significantly enhanced to work efficiently in all three of the following use cases:
- Creating/Maintaining Labels and Viewing their Usage: There are many new features that are available now.
- A description field is now available for you to enter up to 2000 characters of text. This will come very handy when you create test case identifiers as labels within your projects.
- The bulk upload process is streamlined significantly and it supports uploading up to 500 rows of data in a CSV file. Duplicate identification and resolution can be done more efficiently.
- The information related to the usage of labels across various entity types is now presented in a as-needed basis (following the 'peel the onion' kind o approach). Initially visual indicators are shown to indicate whether or not a label and/or its children are assigned to any entity. On click on the graphical icons you get to see the count of entity records per entity type that are assigned to a particular label. Then, if you want, you can drill down to specific entity records that are mapped to a specific label.
- Viewing the currently assigned labels to an entity and making changes/making new assignments of labels: In this use case, only those labels that are applicable (mapped) to the entity type will be shown to the user.
- Using labels as part of the search criteria used to find entities: As you know, in Worksoft SaaS, labels can be assigned to test scripts, scenarios, run definitions, data files, data definitions, data filters, files, test cycles, and test runs. In this use case, only those labels that are assigned to the entity in context along with the parents (all the way to the root) are shown. This will help you narrow down your search criteria easily and avoid the 'finding a needle in the haystack' experience.
- Creating/Maintaining Labels and Viewing their Usage: There are many new features that are available now.
