Quality Reports :: Generate Test Cycle Level Test Outcomes Report
Generate Test Cycle Level Test Outcomes Report for one or more Test Cycles
Worksoft SaaS provides multiple triggering points to generate Test Outcomes Report. You can initiate the request from
- Analytics Tree View page (or)
- Test Cycles Home page (or)
- As part of Test Cycle Scheduler
You would need to make sure that all runs are completed, i.e. they have reached one of the following states Completed (with or without errors), System Aborted, Aborted, Cancelled, before requesting for the report. Also there should be
at a minimum one run that actually executed and completed and is not cancelled. If these conditions are not satisfied the request will end with an error. In case the report generation is part of Test Cycle Scheduler, then system will
check for these conditions before triggering the request.
Report generation from Analytics Tree View page
Under Quality pane you expand Test Cycle Level Test Outcomes node to expose "Customize Report(s)" option that allows you to give request for the report. And as can be seen from below picture, you can specify one or more Test Cycles (to
a max of 5) and submit the request. You can also submit request for one Test Cycle at a time and there is no limit on how many you can request.
Please note the following:
- In the drop down only test cycles for which reports are not already generated show up
- Based on the hierarchy selected (refer to the article here) you either see all selected reports moving to "In progress" state or one of them moving to "In progress" state and other staying in "Queued" state (in the pic below the project hierarchy allows for simultaneous generation of reports)
Report generation for Test Cycles Home page
When you initiate the request from this page, you can initiate report generation for one test cycle at a time. The option is available in the "Actions" field. System will take you to the analytics tree view page when you submit the
request. And if the report is already available, system would expand the Test Cycle Level Test Outcomes node and place the specific test cycle in the view port.
Report generation using Test Cycle Scheduler call
Refer to the article here for more details on how to
request for auto-generation of report once the test cycle is complete.
