Release Notes - 13 February 2023

New Features available for you to benefit from:
  • Improved and simplified workflow for creating and maintaining 'Environments' within a Project

This release offers you a more powerful and simplified workflow for creating and maintaining environments within a project of your Worksoft SaaS domain. The new workflow offers the following benefits:

    • You can create, edit and see all your environments in a single screen

    • You have the ability to filter the list of environments and find the one you are looking for if you have a long list of environments within your project.

    • You can see the count of products linked to an environment as well as see the list of linked products from an additional column in the environment listing. You will also be able to drill down any product from the overlay.

    • You can drill down to view and edit a specific environment from within the create/edit product screen.

  • Auto purging of test cycle outcome reports and performance reports based on project settings

This release offers you two new settings under a group captioned "Auto Purging of Reports" within the "Analytics" tab at the project level that will control when the functional testing test cycle outcome reports and if applicable, the performance test cycle reports will be automatically purged from the time of their generation.

The table below summarizes the default duration in days and if you override the value, the max duration in days, after which the reports will be auto-purged.

    • Setting: "# of days after which Quality > Test Cycle Test Outcomes, Test Cycle Clipboard and Test Cycle Comparison Reports will be auto purged" - default = 15 days; max duration = 90 days

    • Setting: "# of days after which Performance > Test Cycle Test Outcomes, and Scheduling & Preprocessing Reports will be auto purged" - default = 90 days; max duration = 365 days

The screenshot below depicts the two new project level setting you can use to override the default value within your project if you choose to do so.

You are discouraged from overriding the default value to a large value because this can create clutter for you within the tree view - meaning there could be a long list of test cycles showing up within your tree view making it difficult to find the specific test cycle you may be looking for. It can also make the report generation for new test cycles slower especially if your report hierarchy involves generation

  • Dropping Support for auto redirect from old URLs and old support email to the new

As you know, on November 12th 2022 the eureQa SaaS platform was relaunched with Worksoft branding in response to its corporate vision. As part of this release, the URL you use to access your domain and the QaCONNECT REST API got changed and the email account for product support also got changed.

You may recall that as part of that release, we have communicated to you that for your convenience until the end of January 2023, even if you access your domain (account) or the QaCONNECT REST API using the old URLs, you will automatically be redirected to the new format URL. Also, if you sent any tickets via emails using the old support email address support@eureqatest.com those emails will be auto forwarded to the new support email address saas_support@worksoft.com.

With this release the redirection will cease to be supported.
