Daily Capacity - Special Use Cases

You may be thinking about what would happen to your tests under some special situations and use cases. Here are a few for you to be aware of:

1. What happens if you start a test on a Day but the test execution spills into another Day?

If a Run Definition execution or Scenario validation that you scheduled within your Worksoft SaaS domain starts executing on a “Day” but spills over into another “Day” (Day resets at 00:00 Hrs UTC as mentioned above), then the minutes used for completing the execution will be tagged to the Day that just completed.

2. What happens if you start a test but you do NOT have enough minutes on the current day for your test to complete?

If you do NOT have enough minutes available within your subscription for a particular Day and you schedule a run definition or scenario validation, Worksoft SaaS will abort the execution after completing none or some of the instructions within the run definition or scenario based on the available capacity. The test execution will complete ONLY up to the point you have minutes left in the current day.

The Status of the test that aborts will be marked as ‘Aborted’.

The mouse over on the 'Status' value of a test (Abort in this example) will provide you the reason for the abort. In this case the reason would be that you do not have enough minutes in your capacity to start or complete the execution.
