Labels

Labels

“Labels” is one of the strongest features of Worksoft SaaS. It helps to categorize Test artifacts into multiple categories and also helps in report generation.

Example: You can create Test case ID, Requirements, Release and Sprint as different labels and map the entities to respective Labels.

Labels in Worksoft SaaS

In Worksoft SaaS, labels can be created for all entities. This makes it easy to sort/Filter the corresponding entities (Tests scripts/ Scenarios / Run Definitions /Files/ Data Definition/Data Files) as per the assigned label. Worksoft SaaS by default creates 33 different type of labels when a project is created. Apart from that you may also create additional labels.

The 33 labels are under different categories of parent labels that are as following
  • Functional Requirements
  • Application Modules
  • Performance Report Mapping
  • Root Cause for Failure
  • Severity of Test Case Execution Failure
  • Test Automation State
  • Test Case Execution Priority
  • Test Case Type
  • Test Coverage Category
  • Testing Purpose
Under each parent label, there are child labels as shown in the below screenshot.

Worksoft SaaS Analytics also links to the labels that are mapped to Run Definition or a Scenario. The Reports generated help in business workflow enhancements.

Labels are also assigned upon completion of Test Run, which helps in report generation. If you have any failure in your Test Run then you may tag to the system created labels.

Click on Label Icon shown in Picture above, you will be able to assign labels to run.
Note: The reports are generated only if you have provided  Test Cycle Identifier/Build Identifier during execution. In the Analytics, under Quality accordion, based on Test Cycle Identifier, custom reports at the  Test Cycle Level Outcome reports are generated. The Root cause label tagged to the Test Run is shown in this report.
