By linking a Testing Context to a (project level) Testing Platform Group, you can get two distinct benefits:
  • You can use Testing Platform Group(s) to efficiently create en masse testing contexts for Run Definitions or Scenarios that you assemble subsequently within the Project

  • If you make changes to the Testing Platform within a project-level Testing Platform Group, you can push down the change you make to all 'linked Testing Contexts' across all Run Definitions or Scenarios that use the specific Testing Platform.
The steps below will help you link any Testing Context of a Run Definition or a Scenario to a (project-level) Testing Platform Group.
  1. When on the Create Testing Context screen or the Edit Testing Context screen, in the header section you will see a field labeled "Add to Platform Group"

  2. Select the Testing Platform Group using the drop-down in front of the field to which you want to link the Testing Context.

  3. Click on Save

The Testing Context is now available in the Testing Platform and can be used during bulk creation of Testing Contexts for other Run Definitions or Scenarios.
