Situations may arise within your project wherein you may have to reopen a closed test cycle. Most likely this need arises because you want to execute more tests within the test cycle. May be you decide to postpone the deployment of a specific version of your application to the next environment (say production) in the last minute and this necessitates the reopening of the test cycle, potentially extending the end date for the cycle's window, and to execute additional automated tests within it.

When can you reopen a Test Cycle?

Obviously, the test cycle has to be closed for you to 'reopen' it.

How can I reopen a Test Cycle?

You can reopen a closed Test Cycle in Worksoft SaaS manually using the Worksoft SaaS application or using QaCONNECT REST API.

To know how to reopen through QaCONNECT REST API, click here.

Follow the instructions provided below to 'reopen' a Test Cycle manually within the Worksoft SaaS application.

To reopen a specific Test Cycle that you have already marked complete/closed, from the Test Cycles listing grid, click on the 'reopen' icon (that can be identified by the graphical icon shown below).

When prompted for confirmation,  select 'YES' in the confirmation dialog for the Test Cycle to reopen.
