Edit Test Script
Edit Test Script will give you an option to make the numerous enhancements/Modifications to your Test Script be it changes in Command/Target/Value and/or addition of the Worksoft SaaS feature like Data Definition, User Defined Variable, File Bindings, etc.
To edit your Test Scripts, follow the steps mentioned below:
- Navigate to Test Scripts module from the Header by clicking on Test Scripts.
- Click on the Edit icon present in the actions column.
- Name and Description of the Test Script
- Assign/Change Labels
- Change Product
- Map/Change Data Definition
- Add/Delete/Edit/Comment the Instructions in the Test Scripts.
- Add comments between instructions to the Test Script.
Edit Test Script Name:
When a Test Script is opened in the edit mode, Test Script Name can be changed by providing the required name in the corresponding field. Note that, Test Script Name cannot be empty.Assign/Change Labels:
The task of assigning Labels can be achieved by clicking on the Assign Labels adjacent to the Test Script Name field. Icon showed belowAdd/Change Description
Add/Change Description of the particular Test Script. While it is not mandatory to write a description, it is the best practice to provide a description of your test case for quick reference.Bind/Change Data Definition:
For all your tests that need to go with the Data-Driven concept (aka parameterizing the Test Script), you have to select the Binding icon. The clip icon with "A" in the superscript. There are different color & representations of this iconIcon | Definition |

The Test Script is bound to Data Definition and the Instruction is not bound to Attribute | |

Change Product:
If you wish to change the Product of the Test Script, click on this icon that shows the Product Type and select from the drop-down.Mark/RemoveFavorite:
Mark/Remove the Test Script as a favorite by clicking on the star icon. You can only mark 100 Test Scripts as favorite and in case the count goes beyond Worksoft SaaS will throw a message failing to add the script as favorite."In a project, you are allowed to add up to 100 Test Scripts into your 'My Favorites'.
To add this Test Script to 'My Favorites', please remove any of the Test Scripts currently in 'My Favorites' first and then reattempt."
